5 more days left until I move to the Riverton Wal-Mart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting very excited for the transition to the new Riverton wal-mart. I feel like with every job I work at and move on from I always learn a lesson that makes me stronger and better at my next place. I have come so far since I started working in retail at Shopko. at my job at Wal-Mart I have learned how to not take people so serious and how to interact with all of the different kinds of personalities we have at Wal-Mart. there are a few that still make me feel bad, like when Glenda told me that my department looked like crap the other day, that made me cry because I felt that I had been working really hard that day. I also worked very hard today and got a lot done, even the basket of returns that I left from last night!

I am very excited to get over to the Riverton Wal-Mart and only have a 5 minute commute to work, that is going to be wonderful! I will not miss the long commute to work that I have had everyday for the past two years! well my weekend starts after tomorrow, I am so glad I need a break to have fun and play the piano and stuff like that. eventhough the week is just beginning for some of you. have a great week!

my new iPhone

I love my new iPhone, it is the coolest thing ever! I have put almost 300 songs on my phone and I am trying to put the movie August Rush on there right now. I just love how neat my phone is. I got a good price on it from what they use to cost a few months ago. they use to be almost 500.00 dollars and mine was 199.99 plus tax so that made it 212. something. it was so worth it though! I just love everything about my phone.

I also went to work after getting my phone and my day was busy and glenda seemed a little rude to me today. she expected me to get two baskets of returns done in 30 minutes. I did get one out of the two done and straightening in addition to the basket I did. she told me today that my department looked like crap which made me feel bad. at least this is my last weekend at the South Jordan Wal-Mart and I will be starting next Saturday at the Riverton Wal-Mart, how exciting is that? I am thrilled! have a good rest of the weekend!

Black Friday

I am so Glad that today I did not have to be one of the employees that had to show up at 4:30 this morning. there were some rude customers that i had heard about today. I heard that one of our employees got punched in the nose because she was not doing something fast enough! I was overwhelmed with the aftermath in my department. I found a lot of DVDs in my department that people decided they didn't want and just dumped off, then I also found a package of a camera that was stolen! it was a Digital camera. I also found food items and toy items.

Electronics and toys were crazy! and the clothing department was crazy because of all of the returns that had to be done and because of all the straightening that needed to be done. I was able to do all of my returns and straighten and make the department look decent again! it started slowing down about the last three hours of work which was nice. I got so much accomplished eventhough it did not seem like much but I did A LOT today. I just can't believe I have actually experienced my First Black Friday at Wal-Mart! of all stores. some of the managers had to work 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the department managers I think had to come in that early to. I am just so glad that today is over with.

I have one week left at the South Jordan Wal-Mart. I sure am going to miss my friends I have made at that store. they have all been so wonderful to me! I think I will miss Trish in Infants the most and the Maria in Mens wear. and then the rest of them that I have worked with for the past 7 months! my first day at the Riverton Wal-Mart is December 6, 2008. I am so excited to only have a 5 minute commute to work as aposed to 25 minutes! it was also be wonderful for when the snow flies because we will not have the scary freeway to take and Bagerter Highway either!

I am going to get the New iPhone tomorrow also! I also excited about that. I will let you all know how I like it. I am sure I will love that phone. have a great extended weekend!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

today was a good day. it was so dead in the Fitting Rooms. the whole store except the food section was dead. I was so glad to get home from my boring and dead day at work. I had a good thanksgiving and the dinner was so good! I am very dead tonight. I am hitting the hay anytime now to get some sleep. I fell asleep while watching a movie with my mom Billy and Jeff and his dad and his dads soon to be wife. I slept through most of the movie. I need about a week of sleep to catch up for how tired I feel. I hope your thanksgiving was good. Happy Thanksgiving!

Transfering to Riverton Wal-Mart Soon!!!!!!

I am so Excited! I get to start at the Riverton Wal-Mart on December 6, 2008 that is so cool. I am just thrilled because I get to be in the Mens and Womens Deprtment over there. I meet with Kevin wants to meet with me next Tuesday. I am just so excited to be able to be closer to my house. a five minute commute and more sleeping in time or time to myself.

Slow Day

Today seemed to go by really slow. there were not too many shoppers all day! the night was dragging for everyone at Wal-Mart in Softlines. I hope tomorrow goes by faster since tomorrow is my Friday! the week has gone by so fast for me, I can't believe that my weekend is already here again. I so need a break! I need some good sleep too. maybe I can get that this weekend. have a great rest of the week!

Short Day at Work

today I had a short day at work because I was really dizzy so I came home and just rested for the whole night and laid on the couch and watched movies and even slept a little bit. today I bought this really good chicken noodle soup, it is made by Campbell and it is Cream of Chicken Noodle Soup. man was that the best soup! I loved it. it is so much better than the regular chicken noodle soup. it sure has been nice just to rest today and lay around. at least I have paid sick time so I won't miss out on the money for today after leaving so soon. have a great rest of the weekend!

Work Day

Today was a Good work day. I got quite a bit done today in both the mens and womens department. I had to do the returns in the womens department and only got one basket done but I was not expected to get all three baskets done tonight at all. I was just supposed to do what I could do. I did not even get my last break but that was okay because at least I was able to focus on the womens department. the womens department is so much bigger than the mens department and takes more time to straighten it than the Mens department. I was so tired that I fell asleep on my 15 minute break today. I will update tomorrow.

Good Day

today was a good day at work. I did not get as much done as I would have liked to but I got as much done as I could. Glenda asked me to cover Shoes and the Mens Department since there was no one in shoes tonight. it was pretty easy over there, all I had to do was straighten the shoes that were scattered everywhere and that was it. it took me only 20 minutes to do that, then I continued in the Men's Department.

for some reason I was so dead at work towards the end of the day, it felt like this day was never going to end!. oh and today I forgot to mention something in this blog earlier on. today I saw one of my co-workers from Sjhopko whos name was Jessica and she is now a department manager over the Apparrel Department. she is my age and a department manager! she has been at Shopko a long time! longer than I would have ever stuck around. I think I lasted pretty close to a year there, I think it may have been almost nine months that I lasted there. I love my Job now though. I just need the day time shifts next. these late night shifts kill me!

Today was a Fun Day

Today was such a fun day! this morning I went with my mom to her first Doctors Appointment and waited in the lobby for her playing hangman. then we went to Fashion Place Mall and we ate at the Panda Express and then we went and looked around in the Hallmark Store, then we went to Build ABear and then my mom went to Payless Shoes while I was in Build A Bear. I spent 60.00 at Build A Bear but my bear turned out so cute. it is the last one in the series of the 2008 Bears.

I also had a Piano lesson which I enjoyed so much. Ms.Pike and I had both not gotten a very good night sleep so we were both yawning a lot during my lesson. she said she could not sleep because she woke up thinking there were rats in her bed about an hour after she fell asleep and then she said her mind was just going so she had a hard time going back to sleep, and me I just could not fall asleep. I did not get to bed until 5:00 a.m. and I had to get up at 8:00 a.m. this morning. I had a few little naps today and I feel pretty good. I have been practicing my songs I have and they are so fun. I just need to make more time for the piano because I so enjoyed playing my songs on my piano when I got home. I am learning 4 Christmas songs. they are Joy to the World, O Come, O Come Emannual, I saw Three Ships and one other one by Mannheimsteamroller. I cannot wait until we start piano lessons back up in January.
