Update on my mom

well tuesdays procedure went really well. I am so glad the worst of it is over how. when we came home she was totally out asleep in bed in a matter of minutes. Teresa and I both were checking on her periodically to make sure she was okay. Finally, at 1:00 a.m. I thought I should check her blood sugar, so I did and her blood sugar was 47! which is low for her. so teresa and I woke her up so she could get some sugar in her to bring her blood sugar back up. today she was in quite a bit of pain because of cramps, but she is hanging in there. it is just going to take her a little bit of time to heal. I am so glad I have been able to be with her for three days! I don't want to have to leave her tomorrow all alone, but at least I will get to be with her in the morning until I go to work at 1:30.

I know I have been slacking on my updates. I have some saved that I need to finish so I can post them. I will be doing that within the next few days. there has just been so much going on in the past few weeks that I just am too tired to finish the posts and post them. I will post a few tomorrow.

I have two weeks left of my classes and have been working very hard! maybe that is why my posting is slacking. I have great grades still!!! I have two A's and we are almost finished with week 7. I am getting nervous about the two final projects for my two classes, but for English my essay is taking shape! I cannot wait to see how it turns out in the end.

recoverying day for my mom

today it has been 1 day since my mom's procedure. my mom has been resting and taking it easy all day. she has been relaxing and resting in bed. I am sl glad to see that she is able to rest well, she needs all the rest she can get so she can heal and be able to return to work next week!

I have this one girl in my English class in college who went through the same exact thing when she was just 19 years old! she is now 31 and doing very well! her doctors told her that she may never be able to have kids, but today she has a 4 year old daughter. I was very comforted when I learned that someone had already been through what my mom went through yesterday. I had read a while back ago about a lady younger than my mom who was not a survivor of cervical cancer and I was freaked out. but after mmy classmate told me about her experience, I felt more at ease. the girl in my class said she was a stage 4 cervical cancer, my mom was a stage 3.

The doctors said that they have caught it in the early stages so all my mom has to do is just go in for routine checkups to make sure the cancer does not come back.

Early Go Home Day

Today I was not feeling good at all. I felt almost like I was going to have a seizure, my eyes could not focus and I felt like my legs were going numb, like I could not feel them. that always happens before I have a seizure. It was a good thing I was in the fitting rooms, because all I had to do was get on the walki and page for a member of management to the fitting rooms. I did and I paged for Vaheid to come to the fitting rooms immediately and he did. he helped me into the wheelchair room on the mens side in the fitting rooms, he also paged for other managers to come there to. he was so wonderful in helping me, so was support manager Jennifer and all of the other managers who came to help me out. I really appreciate everyone who helpped me today. I hope tomorrow is a better day for me, and I hope I can complete my shift. I will update tomorrow if I am able to complete my shift.

Relaxing Day

today I did not do a whole lot. I sure had a good day of doing nothing. I did work on my school assignments and got those in today, then I played the piano for a while. I played the piano a few times today. I am so excited for tomorrow, I get to work a morning shift! the only morning shift I have this week. I will be working 9:30 to 6:30, then I get to come home and work on my school assignments and get them posted since I have one for each class that is due tomorrow. One of the assignments I get to do is for my Gen 105 class, it is a Time Management Activity. I get to keep track of what I do allday until 11:00 at night. then I submit that with some questions I have to answer about the activity. I will post tomorrow after I get home from work and write about how my day went.

Today was a fun day

today I got to have a piano lesson with Ms.Pike. she was amazed at how well I am doing on the song I am going to be playing with david in May sometime. I am now able to play the whole song all the way through! Ms.Pike said that it was nice that she did not have to keep telling me to be softer, and that I was able to do it without her saying anything. I have worked so hard on that song. now I am working on the song from August Rush! I am so excited about that one. that one is pretty easy except for a few parts on the 2nd to last page. I will have to work and focus on the 2nd to last page especially! when I have a lesson next, I hope to be able to get a few more songs to start learning. I have a few in Mind. Ms.Pike and I are also going to go over the song "Moonlight Sonata" because we are trying to figure out what else I can play at David's recital, since he has asked me to choose a few different songs I want to play.

long, Slow Day

Today was a very long and slow day. I was all by myself, and there was no other workers in the apparel department. I was caught up with everything in all the departments so I didn't have to do anything to straighten up before I left. I usually bring my school work and work on it while I am in the fitting rooms but I did not even bring that to do. business is starting to pick up again. on week 5 I have a full 40 hours! I am excited about that.

in college I am almost finished with week 6, then that leaves three weeks left for my first two classes. I am getting very excited about my next two classes. I am actually excited for CIS 105 (Survey of Computer Information Systems) it is going to be a fun class. I will get to do a powerpoint presentation at the end of the class that will be worth 250 points! I know I will do great on it though, since I already have had experience with Powerpoint.

Busy Day, No Assignments Due for school

today was a good day. it was a little bit busy. the phones kept ringing and ringing and ringing. I found it a little hard to be able to put stuff away in other departments while I was the only one working tonight in the fitting rooms. I did get to leave on time, well like 5 minutes short of being on time.

I also had no assignments due for both of my classes. I still have an A in English at 98.82%, and I still have an A in GEN 105 at 97.50%. after my instructor gets week 5's grades posted for gen 105 I will post it on here. my grade should be good since I did really well this past week. well I will write more tomorrow.

Beginning of 6th week for college/ 3 weeks of classes left!!

well tomorrow begins my 6th week of college. I would havve to say that week 5 was a little tough, but I think the worst of it is now over with. the rest of the time for my two classes should be pretty easy from here on out. I can't believe I only have three weeks left of these first two classes. I am getting way excited for my next two classes. My next two classes are going to be English 102, and CIS 105 (Survery of Computer Information Systems). I have already read over the materials for CIS 105 and it looks likea class that I will be able to handle pretty well. this class looks really fun! we will get to do a power point project and presentation and a few other things to. In that class I will not let my grade go any lower than a B-. I will get higher if I can but that is my main goal for that class, and English I will expect to get somewhere around an A, since I am good at writting.

I now have a few days left of my week before my weekend. I am so excited for Wednesday because I have a piano lesson! and then Thursday I will just get to relax and do whatever assignments need to be done for my classes. I think I may go read for a little bit and then lay donw to go to sleep. but I also may go over my materials for week 6 of classes to before I go to sleep. I think this week is going to be a good week for my classes, I can just feel it!

Busy Day

Today was a kind of busy day but it was a good day. there were not too many men in the store; but there were for sure more men than women I would say who were having problems finding something for their wives. I hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day. Since I had to work tonight I made Valentines Day special for my mom last night. we had a great night last night.

Nice Day today

Today was a nice day. I really liked working at 10:00 this morning. I have enjoyed having my evening to myself. today I gave my mom her Valentines Day stuff since I have to work tomorrow evening. I have to work 2:00 to 11:00, unless I take a 30 minute lunch. then it will be 2:00 to 10:30. today has been a kind of emotional day for me. I just am so thankful for my mom and what she has done for me. I am also thankful for the many other wonderful people I have in my life. I do not know what I would do without all of you. I am so thankful for everything everyone has done for me.

Today I had an assignment due for English. so tonight I came up in my room and got busy on it. I finished it by 11:30! thank goodness! so it was on time. it was an easy assignment so that is why it did not take me too long. we have two more days left of week 5, then we will only have three weeks left of these two classes I am in.
